Regalo is built on trust between clients and braiders. These Community Guidelines exist to ensure every interaction on our platform — whether booking a service, writing a review, or renting a workspace — is respectful, fair, and safe for everyone.

Our Core Values

The Regalo community is built on:

  • Respect: Treat every client, braider, and staff member with dignity
  • Honesty: Provide accurate listings, fair reviews, and truthful communication
  • Professionalism: Deliver and expect the standard of service agreed upon
  • Safety: Maintain an environment free from harassment and abuse
  • Inclusivity: Welcome all hair types, backgrounds, and identities
  • Accountability: Own your actions — as a client and as a braider

Expected Behaviour — Clients

We expect all clients to:

  • Arrive on time for appointments or communicate delays in advance
  • Pay the agreed price without attempting to negotiate after service delivery
  • Write honest and constructive reviews based on genuine experiences
  • Raise concerns through the platform's dispute system — not harassment
  • Respect braiders' workspace and personal boundaries

Expected Behaviour — Braiders

We expect all braiders to:

  • List services, prices, and availability accurately
  • Honour confirmed bookings and notify clients promptly if circumstances change
  • Deliver services to the standard described in their profile
  • Charge only the agreed or listed price — no surprise fees
  • Respond to disputes on the platform within the stated timeframe
  • Maintain a professional profile with up-to-date portfolio images

Unacceptable Behaviour

The following are strictly not tolerated on Regalo:

  • Harassment, bullying, or threats directed at any user
  • Discrimination based on hair type, ethnicity, gender, religion, or disability
  • Fake reviews, incentivised reviews, or review manipulation
  • Attempting to take payments or bookings outside the platform to evade fees
  • Impersonation of another braider, client, or Regalo staff member
  • Sharing another user's personal information without consent
  • Posting inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content on profiles or in messages

Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it through the in-platform dispute or report feature, or contact us at community@regalo.ng. All reports are handled confidentially. Depending on severity, violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
